Role Overview

The Assistant Finance Controller reports directly to CAO and oversees functional accounting staff, prepares financial forecasts, and manages the financial statement close process. This is a leadership position that is proactive and solution-oriented. The individual in this role will be an expert communicator and leader with a solid ability to oversee responsibilities and collaborate across accounting functions domestically and globally.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements on a timely basis as required by the company in accordance with US GAAP.

  • Ensure compliance with Fisker's internal accounting policies, controls over financial reporting, and procedures as well as local regulations.

  • Manage the financial and tax matters, including accounting and payroll, cash collection and accounts payable, internal controls, tax compliance and external audits, etc.

  • Perform financial analysis for business strategies and provide recommendations to functional teams and management for decision-making.

  • Carry out financial reviews and develop the financial forecasts that are in-line with the business environment and group reporting requirements.

  • Perform variance analysis to identify the improvement areas in budgeting and forecasts.

  • Evaluate and recommend changes in the company's cost structure, as appropriate.

  • Develop strategic plans for optimized productivity.

  • Uphold standards of excellence and quality. Develop and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and guidelines in alignment with the laws in US.

  • Deep understanding of direct and indirect tax requirements in US.

  • Contribute and assist with other key projects as needed.

  • Participate in the internal/external audits and coordinate with relevant government authorities.

  • Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • 8-10 years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or above in accounting and finance, CPA experience with Big 4 accounting firm preferred.

  • Familiar with US accounting concepts, principles and practices, reporting experience.

  • Automotive OEM or automotive component manufacturing experience

  • US CPA preferred.

  • Excellent fluency in English

  • Proven experience in a managerial role

  • Strong decision-making capabilities

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and delegation skills

  • Proving ability to develop and maintain financial plans

  • Ability to motivate and lead people and hold employees accountable

  • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures

  • SAP Experience

  • AR Reconciliation

  • Expected Salary Range

    $67,480.00 to $187,980.00 per year.

    Additional Compensation

    Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

    The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
