What to Expect
Tesla is recruiting for an experienced Production Control (PC) Associate
Manager to join our Service Manufacturing Team and oversee day-to-day
operations in Lathrop, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible to
manage inbound material receiving, warehousing, conveyance (bring parts to
the line), outbound finished goods and trailer yard operations. In this role,
the PC Associate Manager is hands-on, and provides coaching and mentoring to
the team, while striving to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.
He/she works closely with Production, Material Flow Engineering, Planning,
Service Distribution and Logistics to ensure overall success of Tesla.
What You'll Do
Manage inbound material flow and parts put-away to warehouse or
supermarkets
Ensure on-time delivery of parts and material to the manufacturing lines
Ensure on-time and compliant outbound shipments to the service customers
Manage material flow processes and ensure system accuracy of inventory
Ensure core KPI targets are met in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and
Delivery
Manage warehouse inventory to optimal levels and drive continuous
improvement
Conduct daily safety, and process audits to ensure adherence to safety
protocols and compliance to standard work
Hire and build a motivated team capable of consistently delivering high
quality results
Coach and mentor Supervisors, Leads and Associates and prepare them for
the next level
Lead efforts to optimize space and manpower, while ensuring downstream
customer satisfaction
Solve daily problems using Tesla root cause / countermeasure problem-
solving methodology
Maintain a culture of cost reduction, operational improvements and
continuous learning
Report operational KPI's, department status and RCCM activities to senior
management daily or as requested
Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
Minimum 3 years of Production Control and/or Warehouse Distribution
experience as a supervisor or higher
Prior experience in managing fast-pace teams and driving solutions in a
manufacturing environment
Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Logistics
and Engineering
Ability to maintain a safe work environment by establishing and enforcing
operational standards and procedures
Proven ability to effectively lead and mentor people to achieve great
things
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and ability to deploy lean
concepts
Working knowledge of supporting systems (MFS, MES, MOS)
Working knowledge of standard work, material flow and mobile equipment
practices
Flexible mindset to change, create or adapt to new processes
Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills with proficiency in
Microsoft Suite
Enthusiastic, eager to succeed, and ready for all challenges
Relevant college or university degree preferred
