As a Buyer, Embedded Electronics you will manage the purchasing life cycle for production parts for vehicle projects. This role requires exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. A successful candidate needs to thrive in a pressurized environment using data and facts to help identify risks, manage resources, and solve problems quickly and effectively. A dedicated team ethic with the ability to interact at all levels and across business boundaries is required to be successful in this position.
Development of procurement strategy, establishment of purchasing budgets, plans, policies, systems, and procedures within the organization.
Building and developing supply chain organization to support vehicle projects and ongoing cost reduction activities.
Negotiate key contracts to optimize value.
Develop business intelligence based on continuous market analysis, monitoring, and forecasting against variable market conditions.
Negotiate contractual terms and interpret existing contract frameworks, demonstrating an understanding of legal principles.
Build internal relationships, assessing the capabilities of suppliers.
Create supplier scorecards to drive for continuous improvement and creation of best practice-based processes and procedures.
Program gateway delivery and reporting.
Ensure that internal operations and supplier activities are conducted in an ethical, responsible manner, using ISO2600/20400 as a basis.
Product definition, attributes, and specification cascade for sourcing activities.
Program metrics generation, including timing, delivery status, cost status.
Procure all materials required to manufacture products from the right supplier, at the right price, to maximize profitability, following established purchasing policies and procedures.
Support bid requests, Issue RFQ's, negotiate and administer purchase orders in support of production needs.
Resolve discrepancies related to purchasing, delivery, quality, receiving and accounts payable; monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as needed.
Work with Engineering to identify alternatives supporting production requirements while optimizing cost & inventory reductions, process Engineering Change Orders (ECO) as required.
Coordinate and co-lead supplier performance meetings.
Analyzes data to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supplier delivery.
Update and maintain purchase orders in MRP system for changes in design and delivery requirements.
Develop relationship with suppliers and become the company.
Negotiate and drive cost out to mitigate price increases.
Resolve supplier payment issues with suppliers.
Perform all other duties as directed by Purchasing Manager.
Develop and present trainings.
Collaborate with peers and management to determine key goals and objectives, and corresponding metrics.
Create new and revise existing procurement processes to accomplish best- practice.
Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or related subject.
Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive/OEM purchasing or supplier management.
Strong understanding of the end-to-end purchasing cycle of automotive electronic control unit (ECU) or High-Performance Computing (HPC) hardware.
Experience in the application of PPAP processes in the supplier base.
Supplier Management and Readiness experience.
Problem solving; 8D, practical problem-solving capability.
Proficient in the application of vehicle project management strategies.
Superior relationship skills in creating and fostering working relationships within Purchasing, internal business areas and suppliers.
Ability to make strategic sourcing recommendations and take appropriate action.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Deep knowledge of sourcing, procurement principles, procurement systems, and large company best practices.
Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
Exceptional communication skills.

Expected Salary Range : $50,960.00 - $141,960.00 a year.
Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, considering the wide variety of factors listed above.
