Role Overview

Working within the Manufacturing team, this role will report to the Sr. Manager Technical Integration and the complete Manufacturing Team located in Graz, Austria. The engineer will work on site alongside the Engineering and Production Partner and the resident Fisker team with the aim of supporting the serial production of the Fisker Ocean. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding skills in analysis, critical thinking, root cause investigation and risk management. The role will require strong communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work cross-functionally and alongside external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Act as gatekeepers for all Bill of Material changes being reflected in the structure. Guide and drive Engineering Change Requests through the approval process and workflows.
  • Initiate SAP best practices and coordinate roll out / Support SAP change requests
  • Review ECRs and assess suitability and impact in order to enable Change Approval Board reviews. Manage and prioritize ECRs based on immediate Engineering / Manufacturing needs and provide status updates in Program meetings/other forums as required.
  • Schedule and lead weekly Change Approval Board meetings and Coordinate cross functional activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, SQA, Launch Team & Service and external partners.
  • Coordinate implementation and confirmation of permanent correct actions (PCA)
  • Coordinate necessary responses with the involved parties as first point of contact for any BoM issues identified.
  • Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
  • Relevant experience in the automotive sector (experience on an EV is an advantage)
  • Professional experience in a production environment in the context of SAP
  • Relevant expertise with managing Bill Of Materials and routing structures within manufacturing systems (e.g.: SAP, PRODAP, etc)
  • Very good understanding of manufacturing planning and control processes (capacity planning, production order management, quality in manufacturing, etc)
  • Solid understanding of vehicle build process and priority settings
  • Knowledge and understanding of the vehicle development process, milestones and deliverables is an advantage
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and self-starter with a keen eye for detail
  • Working knowledge of 8D problem solving methodologies
  • Fluent in English (German is an advantage)
  • Ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Must be computer literate with knowledge of relevant business systems (i.e.: Microsoft Office)
  • Experience using JIRA for issue tracking and resolution is preferred.
