What to Expect
As Construction Scheduler you will be playing a critical role in construction of brand new facilities projects in Corpus Christi, TX. These facilities include but are not limited to the Gulf Coast Lithium Refinery. You will help develop scheduling processes and support development of schedules on complex projects working cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders, while training colleagues on schedule best practices program wide.
What You'll Do
· Holistically manage scheduling infrastructure processes from project inception to closeout
· Develop multi-discipline construction/project schedule and templates PR1 with preconstruction/planning and execution teams
· Create potential “what-if” scenario schedules showing viable alternative paths to achieve project objectives
· Ensure scheduling tools are providing accurate and reliable information
· Train and mentor colleagues on scheduling procedures and best practices to ensure consistent reporting
· Support development of 4D BIM schedules and methodology for infrastructure programs
· Cost load and resource load schedules as needed by project team. Assist with the creation of 3-week-look-ahead schedules for use by field team
· Use clear and effective communication methods to escalate risks and communicate successes
· Update progress of schedules with field teams on an ongoing basis
· Develop long term strategy on schedule management systems and drive teams to implement and follow the procedures accordingly. Assist project controls team with gathering necessary project information to create reports for executives and key stakeholders
What You'll Bring
· Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business or related fields
· 10+ years of experience on large commercial, industrial, mining or oil & gas construction projects, direct scheduling experience required
· Experience in Critical Path Management, Earned Value Management with a demonstrated history of successful schedule reporting, compression, and mitigation efforts
· Excellent written and verbal communication presentation skills are a must
· Knowledge of how things are built at the fundamental level, experience in construction management preferred
· High proficiency in scheduling software including Primavera P6 and Microsoft projects. Alternative software skills and methodology also encouraged
· Willingness to get your hands dirty to understand the projects you are supporting
· Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines, aggressive goals and demanding work environment
