Role Overview
The Director, Program Purchasing requires exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. A successful candidate needs to thrive in a pressurized environment using data and facts to help identify risks, manage resources, and solve problems quickly and effectively. A dedicated team ethic with the ability to interact at all levels and across business boundaries is required to be successful in this position.
Responsibilities
Lead the Purchasing operations management for Fisker programs.
Represent Purchasing in cross-functional meetings to ensure production goals are met.
Escalation point of contact for all commodity suppliers across Electrical, BIW, Battery, Exterior, Interior, Chassis, and Powertrain.
Identify, mitigate, and resolve production risks.
Identify and lead cost reduction activities across Program, Engineering, SQA, and Manufacturing.
Actively manage supplier relationships and performance through key performance metrics.
Optimize the product's financial performance in collaboration with the Finance team.
Work closely with Program Management to track production progress and execute product and vehicle build events.
Support Supplier Quality plant audits and technical reviews.
Ability to make strategic sourcing recommendations and take appropriate action.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Deep knowledge of sourcing, procurement principles, procurement systems, program management, and large company best practices.
Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
Exceptional communication skills.
Ensure that internal operations and supplier activities are conducted in an ethical, responsible manner using ISO2600/20400 as a basis.
Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
5+ years of automotive or program management experience.
years' experience leading a team of automotive professionals.
5+ years managing commercial business relationships with large suppliers in an automotive, electronics or high-volume manufacturing business.
Independent, initiative-taker.
·Fluent spoken and written English.
Travel as needed.

Expected Salary Range: $126,350.00 - $207,600.00 a year.
Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, considering the wide variety of factors listed above.
