Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Sales Training to lead the development and execution of comprehensive sales training programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing the sales team's skills, knowledge, and performance to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

This role will require commuting and, if applicable, relocating, to the Los Angeles metropolitan area to work on-site with our Executive Team at our Global Headquarters in Manhattan Beach, California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Training Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic sales training roadmap aligned with the company's sales objectives, product launches, and market trends. Define training objectives and content that align with sales goals.

  • Curriculum Development: Create and design sales training programs, workshops, and materials tailored to different sales roles, including sales representatives, managers, and leadership positions. Incorporate best practices, industry knowledge, and product expertise into training modules.

  • Training Delivery and Facilitation: Oversee the delivery and facilitation of sales training programs, whether in-person or through digital platforms. Conduct engaging and effective training sessions to transfer knowledge and skills to the sales team.

  • Sales Skills Enhancement: Focus on improving sales skills, including but not limited to product knowledge, objection handling, negotiation, relationship building, and sales methodologies to enhance sales performance.

  • Performance Evaluation and Feedback: Implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of sales training initiatives. Provide constructive feedback to sales team members and managers, identifying areas for improvement and recognizing strengths.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with sales leadership, HR, and other departments to align training programs with business goals and company culture. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.

  • Training Technology and Tools: Leverage training technologies, e-learning platforms, and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of sales training programs. Stay updated on the latest training methodologies and tools in the industry.

  • Measurement and Reporting: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of sales training initiatives. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on training effectiveness and ROI.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

  • 12-15 years of Proven experience in sales training, enablement, or a related role within the automotive industry or high-tech sector. EV experience highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of sales methodologies, training techniques, adult learning principles, and instructional design.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.

  • Proficiency in utilizing training technology, learning management systems (LMS), and other training-related tools.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure training effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • This role will require commuting and, if applicable, relocating, to the Los Angeles metropolitan area to work on-site with our Executive Team at our Global Headquarters in Manhattan Beach, California.

  • Expected Salary Range : $143,000.00 -$210,000.00 a year.

    Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

    Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
