What's the role?
Under the supervision of the Service Manager, as a Service Electrical
Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the after-sales service group
in responding to customer needs, studying the causes of vehicle failures
produced by Lion Electric and working with the engineering team to find
effective solutions.
What are the main responsibilities of the role?
Provide diagnostic procedures to Lion technicians and customers to limit
vehicle downtime and improve product reliability.
Create and improve diagnostic tools;
Master the operation of Lion vehicles and understand our customers' need
to use our products.
Propose solutions to mitigate short and/or long-term problems.
Master the electrical infrastructure of our vehicles to support our teams;
Analyze vehicle data to propose corrective actions.
Work in collaboration with other engineering departments to improve
vehicle reliability.
Implement corrective action plans and follow-up on modifications;
Review and approve recalls and service bulletins.
Design electrical drawings
Any other related tasks
What are the essential elements for success in this role?
Knowledge
Knowledge of electric vehicles or high-voltage architectures;
Knowledge of automotive mechanics, an asset;
Knowledge of software: OpenECU, Iqan Design, CATIA electrical system
design, an asset;
Advanced MS Office skills.
Good written and oral communication skills (French and English);
This position requires intermediate to advanced oral and written English on a daily basis, in order to communicate with suppliers and colleagues located outside Quebec.

Training and experience
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
5 years relevant experience (preferably in the transportation industry);
Experience in interpreting technical drawings and electrical diagrams;
Experience with CAN bus and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) analysis;
Experience with CAN analysis software (Canalyser, PiSnoop or
equivalent);
Experience in collecting and analyzing data and diagnostics.
Additional information
Two positions are available as Electrical Engineers:
The first position is available for a person with 3 to 5 years of related
experience;
The second position is available for a person with more than 5 years
related experience.
This position is face-to-face, 3 days a week or more, depending on
business needs.
