  • What's your role?

    In collaboration with the Team Leader - Reliability, the Quality and Reliability Specialist's mandate is to support service engineering and the entire after-sales service department in meeting customer needs while studying vehicle-related issues.

    On a daily basis, you will :

  • Lead root cause analysis projects and coordinate the implementation of corrective action plans;
  • Create and analyze performance indicators (KPIs) to track improvement and identify opportunities in both products and processes;
  • Develop quality assurance standards and business processes in the service engineering sector;
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives concerning products, tools and processes;
  • Resolve supplier quality issues affecting product reliability;
  • Monitor effectiveness of procedures, maintain problem database and provide progress reports to management;
  • Provide training and support to team members on core systems, policies, procedures and processes;
  • Support any other activities agreed with the manager.
  • What are the keys to success in this role?

    Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical and software systems;
  • Good knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods and tools;
  • Good knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma, Process Mapping, RCA, PDCA, 5 Whys;
  • Excellent IT skills, including database management, Office 360, SmartSheet;
  • Knowledge of automotive mechanics, an asset.
  • Good written and oral communication skills (French and English)
  • This position requires knowledge of intermediate or advanced English, both spoken and written, on a daily basis, in order to communicate with suppliers and colleagues located outside Quebec.

  • Required training and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent) in a relevant field;
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a related role or function;
  • Experience interacting with suppliers and third parties an asset.
  • Additional information

  • This is a onsite position, 3 days a week or more, depending on business needs.
