What to Expect
The Fleet Rental Coordinator (FRC) provides critical support to Tesla's
Global Fleet Operations. This role will assist with sourcing, dissolution,
maintenance, repair, vendor management, hauling activity, tracking, and
overall upkeep of equipment, fleet vehicles, and field operations support
equipment, including safety, compliance, maintenance, repairs, claims, and
inventory management. Primary focus will be Rented Equipment Operations with
overlap into leased and owned asset management.
In addition, the FRC is a main point of contact for outside vendors and
internal customers regarding all issues and requirements about equipment. The
FRC has skills in process development, inventory management, vendor
management, on- and off-road equipment and vehicle setup and maintenance,
fleet management, and safety training and assurance. As part of Tesla's
Logistics Department, the FRC reports to the Fleet Manager and must-have
outdoor equipment operational knowledge, background or education in logistics
management, a demonstrated process-oriented mindset, and a service-oriented
attitude.
What You'll Do
Manage the cleaning, maintenance, and organize heavy equipment,
construction equipment, and various pieces of machinery.
Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in
good working order.
Ensure the delivery of equipment and trucks to the job sites.
Responsible for ensuring rental equipment is repaired as needed.
Maintain files for vehicle inspection reports.
Ensure all vehicles and equipment are stocked with standard and required
safety equipment.
Schedule the delivery and pick up rental equipment with vendors, including
repair requests.
Own lot management to ensure organization and efficient vehicle flow.
Support and train cross-functional team members on fleet processes and
ensure we are meeting all Centralized Fleet KPI's.
Execute daily operation plans to achieve program metrics and standards,
such as utilization, cost control, and vehicle downtime.
Proactively identify and flag vehicle issues, program challenges to Fleet
Project Manager and internal partners.
Manage, audit, and track repair order process with internal and external
Service and Maintenance vendors.
