Role Overview:
As a Front End Production Support engineer ), your primary responsibility will be to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of front-end applications. You will work closely with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to address and resolve issues related to front-end functionality, user experience, and performance. Your expertise in Java and front-end technologies will be critical in providing efficient and effective support for front-end applications.
Responsibilities:
Production Issue Resolution: Investigate, diagnose, and resolve front-end production issues reported by end users or identified through monitoring tools. Troubleshoot issues related to and collaborate with development teams if necessary.
Incident Management: Serve as a point of contact for front-end-related incidents, actively participating in incident management processes. Follow established incident response procedures, prioritize and escalate issues as needed, and provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding issue resolution progress.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor front-end application performance, identify performance bottlenecks, and work with development teams to implement performance optimizations. Analyze and optimize Java- based front-end code, leverage caching mechanisms, and ensure efficient data retrieval and rendering.
Release Management: Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment of front-end changes and releases. Conduct pre- release testing of front-end components integrated with Java back-end systems, and coordinate with stakeholders to validate changes before they are pushed to production. Ensure that proper version control and release documentation practices are followed.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance front-end production support processes, tools, and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and promote best practices for maintaining stable and reliable Java-based front-end applications.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including developers, system administrators, and end users. Provide clear and concise updates on front-end support activities, issue resolution status, and upcoming releases. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of front-end issues and requirements.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and best practices
Requirements:
Minimum 3 + years of experience in frontend development
Strong proficiency in React (Next.js)
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and the JavaScript object model
Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and their integration
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and DOM manipulation
Understanding of the W3C guidelines including ARIA and accessibility
Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript (ES6+)
Expert understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL
Experience with common development tools such as Babel, Webpack, and yarn
Experience with testing frameworks
Ability to perform benchmarking and optimization
Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
Experience with troubleshooting and resolving front-end issues in a production environment.
Familiarity with performance monitoring and optimization techniques for Java-based front-end applications.
Knowledge of incident management processes and best practices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to documentation and knowledge sharing.
Expected Salary Range : $95K to $120k a year.
Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
