What to Expect

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Global Supply Manager to support our development teams and contract manufacturing partners in the sourcing of Direct Supply Chain components and parts. This person will be a member of our Supply Chain Organization supporting the development, implementation, and management of strategies to provide Tesla with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance. Working towards good supplier relationships and total costs of ownership to achieve maximum advantage for Tesla and our customers. The successful candidate will be a self-starter; motivated with expert overall sourcing expertise.

What You'll Do

  • Setup and expand relationship with end-to-end semiconductor suppliers including, IP providers, foundry, bumping, die preparation, wafer sort, advanced packaging vendors and equipment partners .
  • Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers
  • Drive price negotiations processes and drive the cost reduction programs to ensure that Tesla's semiconductor pricing are best in class
  • Develop spend strategies, identify potential suppliers, analyze supplier capabilities, select suppliers and determine prices, terms, and conditions of agreements
  • Onboard new suppliers and close contract with vendors
  • Total cost ownership, develop wafer and process should cost model
  • Proactively and effectively manage the long/mid/short term forecast, capacity, and supply
  • Keep track of the supplier capacity, and lead the resolution of problem when applicable
  • Hold QBR with vendors to review supplier performance and scorecard
  • Conduct the industry and market research to monitor and publish the industry trend and impact to the team
  • What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, or commodity management associated to Foundry
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and analytical skills are required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. SQL and Tableau preferred
