Your Role:
The Human Resources Manager will partner with management in the
manufacturing plant to provide expertise and counseling for all people issues
affecting plant operations. The incumbent will develop and implement Human
Resource policies, corporate organizational initiatives and programs for most
of the following areas: succession planning, talent management, works
compensation, employee relations, EEO, and/or training and development.
Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between the manufacturing plan and corporate HR to ensure
policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance
Partner with the Talent Acquisition function to drive staffing, ensuring
we identify and hire the best talent for the facility
Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation using corporate standardized
onboarding material
Responsible for directing the annual performance management process, in
close coordination with corporate HR. Assist the leadership team with goal
setting, performance monitoring and determining development plans.
Identify and implement training to meet business needs and support
employee development
Work with management and senior HR leader in appropriate resolution of
employee relations issues. Manage the disciplinary and termination
processes.
Maintain required documentation, including electronic documentation,
supporting Affirmative Action, Leaves of Absence including Family Medical
Leaves, Attendance, Vacation, and Meal Break
Serve on the Safety Committee and partner with EH&S Manager to implement
safety training and administer worker's compensation claims
Build and maintain successful working relationships with corporate HR
functions, community organizations, local management, employees, and
corporate support functions
Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, or
related field is required
10+ years of human resources experience.
Experience in a California manufacturing environment is required
Experience implementing and administering programs and processes in all
primary HR disciplines: talent acquisition, performance management,
compensation and benefits administration, employee
Comprehensive knowledge of federal and California wage and hour and leave
of absence laws.
Proficiencies with ADP or other HRIS tool, Applicant Tracking Systems
(ATS), MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
Ability to build culture and develop an engaged workforce
Ability to communicate at all levels
Ability to prioritize work assignments and multitask in a fast-paced
environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification
Annual Salary Range
$92,500 to $115,000, plus benefits and incentive plans
