What to Expect

The Role

As an Electrician with the Facilities and Construction team you will have the opportunity to work on all phases of commercial facilities: Skills in all areas of electrical are not necessarily required, but the job can and will involve a variety of electrical disciplines and a strong candidate will be able to perform a variety of electrical tasks from distribution power, lighting and control panels to low voltage to fire alarm.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, trouble shoots, repairs and installs electrical equipment utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Operate, diagnose, analyze and repair industrial equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, electric doors, overhead cranes and exhaust ventilation system.
  • Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work.
  • Performs daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned.
  • Occasionally work on projects running conduit, pulling wire and connecting devices utilizing lifts and ladders.
  • Perform equipment repairs and similar duties without oversight or direction.
  • Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems.
  • Develop equipment SOPs and Preventive Maintenance program.
  • Candidates for Tesla Electrical Technician, expected to contribute to day- to-day operations that may be outside of their normal skill set, such as restroom repair and training/exposure to work unfamiliar with the candidate.
  • What You'll Bring

    Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years related work experience as an Industrial electrician.
  • Knowledge using hand tools, electrical meter and testing equipment.
  • Experience in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC.
  • Strong knowledge of switchgears, trouble shooting of motor controls, drives and electronic components.
  • Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics.
  • Ability to install electrical equipment and circuit modification.
  • Ability to work in high elevation up to 80 ft. high.
  • Strong inter-personal skills along with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Must have high degree of initiative and the ability to work alone effectively or with a team.
  • Provide excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Good understanding of Drives and PLC is a plus.
  • Proficient with computer and mobile devices.
  • Ability to identify electrical hazards and execute proper safety procedures.
