What to Expect
The Role
As an Electrician with the Facilities and Construction team you will have the
opportunity to work on all phases of commercial facilities: Skills in all
areas of electrical are not necessarily required, but the job can and will
involve a variety of electrical disciplines and a strong candidate will be
able to perform a variety of electrical tasks from distribution power,
lighting and control panels to low voltage to fire alarm.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities
Maintains, trouble shoots, repairs and installs electrical equipment
utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
Operate, diagnose, analyze and repair industrial equipment such as
boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, pumps, chillers, air
handling units, electric doors, overhead cranes and exhaust ventilation
system.
Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work.
Performs daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance,
trouble calls and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned.
Occasionally work on projects running conduit, pulling wire and connecting
devices utilizing lifts and ladders.
Perform equipment repairs and similar duties without oversight or
direction.
Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and
correct problems.
Develop equipment SOPs and Preventive Maintenance program.
Candidates for Tesla Electrical Technician, expected to contribute to day-
to-day operations that may be outside of their normal skill set, such as
restroom repair and training/exposure to work unfamiliar with the
candidate.
What You'll Bring
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years related work experience as an Industrial electrician.
Knowledge using hand tools, electrical meter and testing equipment.
Experience in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC.
Strong knowledge of switchgears, trouble shooting of motor controls,
drives and electronic components.
Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics.
Ability to install electrical equipment and circuit modification.
Ability to work in high elevation up to 80 ft. high.
Strong inter-personal skills along with the ability to interact with all
levels of management.
Must have high degree of initiative and the ability to work alone
effectively or with a team.
Provide excellent communication skills written and verbal.
Good understanding of Drives and PLC is a plus.
Proficient with computer and mobile devices.
Ability to identify electrical hazards and execute proper safety
procedures.
