Job purpose
Hyliion is hiring an Install Team Leader to join our fast-paced team. This
role Leads a group of our install technicians, and includes cross functional
communication with assembly, materials, and our engineering department. This
team member will need to be well-organized and will meet installation
deadlines. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
Duties and responsibilities
Lead a group of Install techs.
Performs trouble shooting and diagnostics procedure on completed truck and
equipment.
Record observations and findings during diagnostics and provide corrective
measures, as necessary.
Ensure that warranties are properly followed up, monitored, and
documented.
Hands-on supervision of all team activities, especially technical issues.
Work with Materials team to order spare parts for specific jobs/special
job or for stocks replenishment.
Work with assembly areas to communicate delivery deadlines for assemblies.
Work with engineering department as needed for feedback.
Supervise and follow up on actual progress of each truck assigned.
Provide on-the-job training as well as coaching and mentoring.
Follow up repair order, registering the time taken to complete.
Attend/Hold the Daily Huddle/Weekly Departmental Meeting
Responsible for the implementation of 5S and other lean standards within
the shop area.
Conduct quality feedback to team to correct issues and insure best
product.
Support and full comply with Company and Departmental policies and
procedures.
Drive area to meet departmental budgetary targets and goals.
Conduct any other task given to them by their supervisor.
Qualifications

Qualifications include:
Education
High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years' experience heavy duty truck repair work.
Specialized knowledge/Professional Certifications (preferred)
Must pass a drug test before hire and be subject to random quarterly tests
within DOT guidelines.
Diesel Mechanical Certification.
Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist Certification.
Medium-Heavy Truck Certification.
Auto Maintenance and Light Repair Certification.
Alternate Fuels Certification.
Class A CDL.
Skills
Well-honed leadership skills; with an ability to motivate others.
Hands on ‘real-world' mechanical experience and knowledge.
Highly computer literate (Microsoft Office, Enterprise Resource
Management, etc.).
Excellent grasp of the English language: verbal and written.
Sound judgment informed by extensive practical knowledge and experience.

Working conditions
This is a non-exempt level position, with a flexible work schedule and ability
to maintain work/life balance as required by the role. Additionally, this
position typically works in an office environment; and given the nature of our
business is exposed to Operations/Warehouses.
