Position Overview:

This position will provide comprehensive IT program management support to the Power and Energy business unit in the Proterra organization. In this position, you will report to the Director, IT PMO. Proterra is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead the planning and execution of strategic projects. In this position, you will also be a central part of the PMO organization, driving continual improvement for our processes.

About the Role – You will:

  • Work with stakeholders in forming the project team and schedule for executing the business
  • Ensure and balance the availability of the required skills and competencies across project teams within the program.
  • Review vendor proposals, lead or participate in contract negotiations and be integral in managing vendor relations specific to projects in the program.
  • Track projects within the program for schedule, budget and
  • Manage and maintain program and project status reports for executive
  • Lead regular interactions with the executive sponsor and stakeholders to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the program outcome.
  • Partner with the business unit team to communicate program goals, objectives and potential
  • Follows appropriate governance functions for the program, in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner.

  • Bachelor's Degree required, degree in Engineering or Computer Science a
  • Five (5) plus years demonstrated evidence of successfully managing multiple projects in
  • Five (5) plus years supervision of external consultants, and expert vendor management
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and execution
  • Experience presenting to Executive
  • Ability to develop project plans and deliver them within financial and resource constraints
  • Solid organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Manufacturing experience a plus.
