About the Role – You Will:

  • Set-up and maintain the Greenville Battery Quality Laboratory in alignment with ISO/IEC 17025 and IATF 16949 standards, owning relevant QMS processes as required
  • Create and execute FARO arm programs in PolyWorks
  • Compile measurement reports in support of APQP/PPAP requirements
  • Cross-train quality technicians on FARO arm usage as needed
  • Maintain lab equipment in good working order through a combination of standard maintenance activities and coordination with equipment vendors
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
  • Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Create and execute a system for management of site-wide calibration of gages.
  • Preparation of samples, Performing of cross sections and analysis of samples post sectioning
  • Evaluate further Powered Quality laboratory opportunities with Product and Process Engineering resources to increase overall laboratory analysis capabilities in support of production
  • Other laboratory related tasks as identified as part of the needs of the Greenville Battery Facility.

  • This position will be part of the Quality team that supports operations in Greenville, SC.
  • You will report to the Staff Quality Engineer and collaborate with other cross-functional team members located on-site as well as at our headquarters in Burlingame, CA.

  • Your Experience Includes

  • Associates degree (technical degree preferred) or related experience
  • Familiarity with ISO based Quality Management System (ISO/IEC 17025 and/or IATF 16949 experience a plus)
  • Three-plus years quality laboratory technician experience (automotive or other large-scale manufacturing a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to create and use FARO arm measurement programs for a variety of applications
  • A broad overview of technical mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, measurement systems, and conversions between various numbering methods.
  • The ability to identify, select, and use metrology gauges and instruments.
  • Thorough understanding of GD&T.
  • Application of inspection processes using GD&T and traceability, as well as implementing testing methods such as destructive/nondestructive, functionality testing, and hardness testing.
  • Understand how to optimize quality assurance using basic statistics, statistical process control (SPC), and process capability analysis (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk).
  • Basic computer skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
  • Analytic, documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to understand CAD Drawing
