About the Role – You Will:
Set-up and maintain the Greenville Battery Quality Laboratory in alignment
with ISO/IEC 17025 and IATF 16949 standards, owning relevant QMS processes
as required
Create and execute FARO arm programs in PolyWorks
Compile measurement reports in support of APQP/PPAP requirements
Cross-train quality technicians on FARO arm usage as needed
Maintain lab equipment in good working order through a combination of
standard maintenance activities and coordination with equipment vendors
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and
procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and
reading technical publications.
Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results
as needed.
Create and execute a system for management of site-wide calibration of
gages.
Preparation of samples, Performing of cross sections and analysis of
samples post sectioning
Evaluate further Powered Quality laboratory opportunities with Product and
Process Engineering resources to increase overall laboratory analysis
capabilities in support of production
Other laboratory related tasks as identified as part of the needs of the
Greenville Battery Facility.
Other duties as assigned by management.

This position will be part of the Quality team that supports operations in
Greenville, SC.
You will report to the Staff Quality Engineer and collaborate with
other cross-functional team members located on-site as well as at our
headquarters in Burlingame, CA.

Your Experience Includes
Associates degree (technical degree preferred) or related experience
Familiarity with ISO based Quality Management System (ISO/IEC 17025
and/or IATF 16949 experience a plus)
Three-plus years quality laboratory technician experience (automotive or
other large-scale manufacturing a plus)
Demonstrated ability to create and use FARO arm measurement programs for a
variety of applications
A broad overview of technical mathematics including algebra, geometry,
trigonometry, measurement systems, and conversions between various
numbering methods.
The ability to identify, select, and use metrology gauges and instruments.
Thorough understanding of GD&T.
Application of inspection processes using GD&T and traceability, as well
as implementing testing methods such as destructive/nondestructive,
functionality testing, and hardness testing.
Understand how to optimize quality assurance using basic statistics,
statistical process control (SPC), and process capability analysis (Cp,
Cpk, Pp, Ppk).
Basic computer skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Software – Word,
Excel, PowerPoint,
Analytic, documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to understand CAD Drawing
