What to Expect

The ideal candidate has experience in managing facilities operations, as well as a background in design, engineering, commissioning and operation of Mechanical, Chemical, or Building Automation and Controls systems. Responsible for ensuring the performance of building systems and driving the execution and quality of all general, preventative, and emergency maintenance for facilities equipment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and process systems operation and maintenance is required.

What You'll Do

  • Work with a team of engineers and maintenance technicians to maintain, operate, diagnose, analyze and repair facilities equipment including: boilers, chillers, air handling units, dehumidifiers, VAV systems, hydronic systems, air compressors/dryers, exhaust ventilation, dust collectors, chemical delivery/storage systems, waste water collection and treatment systems
  • Ensure all operations are executed with highest level of planning and safety to prevent injuries and downtime
  • Oversee the installation or repair of various facilities infrastructure or equipment including ductwork, piping, exhaust, wiring and HVAC
  • Monitor and support sub-contractors in performance of work
  • What You'll Bring

    · Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and evidence of exceptional ability

    · Minimum of 7 years of experience in any combination of design, construction, commissioning, or maintenance of Mechanical or Chemical systems in a manufacturing (or equivalent) environment. Professional Engineering experience is preferred in industrial/commercial and or lab/R&D environments, with 2 years of experience in a supervision role

    · Understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) interfaces and devices, as well as familiarity with Automated Logic, Siemens controls, and similar controls systems

    · Extensive training in safety practices and able to assess tasks/situations to determine what equipment is needed and develop/communicate procedures necessary to accomplish a task while ensuring worker safety

    · Ability to travel domestic and international

    · Must be familiar with basic HVAC and electrical codes

    · Ability to consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics

    · Demonstrated technical understanding of the repair and maintenance of industrial HVAC and plumbing system

    · Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work

    · Provide good communication skills written and verbally

    · Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company

    · Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite specifically Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

    · Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 10+ hours per day, wear air purifying respirator as needed for specific tasks

    · Ability to lift at least 20 lbs on a regular basis, perform repetitive hand and wrist motions and sometimes may have to twist and bend body

    · Ability to climb ladders/stairs, Work in loud environment. Must be able to discern audible alarms
