Role Overview

We're looking for a Lead UI/UX Experience Designer to join our growing team of creative visionaries. You'll have the opportunity to design features and experiences for our user-centric native apps, in-vehicle display screens, and other creative Fisker experiences. You'll be responsible for thinking about the user across all of our digital surfaces through elegant and delightful designs. You'll collaborate effectively with multiple internal teams including design, engineering, product, and marketing, as well as interact closely with Fisker customers to find beneficial insights and test your designs. You're a lifelong learner and voracious problem-solver. Responsibilities

  • Provide forward, innovative thinking about the future of connected vehicles

  • Find simple and elegant solutions for complex design problems

  • Follow a creative process for feature and experience ideation.

  • Explore, concept, and develop entire design systems, inclusive of user interfaces, connected data and interaction models compatible across screens, devices and physical locations

  • Collaborate, present and deliver features and experiences using design specs, mood boards, flows, storyboards, wireframes, functional prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, to internal teams and key stakeholders

  • Work closely with multidiscipline cross-functional teams to manage and implement features into production vehicles

  • Stay current with latest trends in automotive design as well as consumer electronics, product, fashion, architectural and related design fields

  • Requirements

  • Design or human computer interaction degree (or equivalent experience)

  • 8+ years of experience in user experience design

  • Strong design process, experience designing systems and product features

  • Demonstrable experience with information architecture, storyboards, flows, wireframes, and design specs

  • Proficiency in industry standard design tools (Figma / Sketch, Adobe Suite, etc.)

  • Experience with adaptable design that work across desktop, mobile, web and native applications (automotive UX, gaming, and connected device app design experience a plus)

  • PASSION for automotive HMI design and knowledge of current automotive design trends and technology

  • Experience working low fidelity to high fidelity proving concepts through functional prototypes

  • Ability to travel and work long hours

  • A portfolio demonstrating your work, with examples of successful designs and process
