We are seeking a skilled and strategic Manager of Fleet Operations to oversee the management and optimization of our electric vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and performance of our fleet to support our company's goals.
This role may require commuting and, if applicable, relocating, to the Los Angeles metropolitan area to work on-site with our Executive Team at our Global Headquarters in Manhattan Beach, California.
Fleet Management Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the management and operation of the electric vehicle fleet, including planning, procurement, deployment, and disposal of vehicles.
Fleet Maintenance and Upkeep: Implement preventive maintenance programs, schedules, and protocols to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of the electric vehicle fleet. Coordinate maintenance activities and repairs as needed to minimize downtime.
Operational Efficiency: Optimize fleet utilization, routing, and scheduling to maximize efficiency and minimize operational costs. Develop and implement strategies to improve fuel/electricity efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Fleet Safety and Compliance: Establish and enforce safety protocols, policies, and compliance standards to ensure the safety of fleet operations. Monitor and address any regulatory compliance requirements related to fleet management.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track and analyze fleet performance metrics, including vehicle utilization, maintenance costs, fuel/electricity consumption, and overall operational efficiency. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
Vendor and Supplier Management: Manage relationships with fleet service providers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure high-quality services, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of fleet-related products and services.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team responsible for fleet operations, maintenance, and logistics. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with sustainability teams to develop and implement eco-friendly initiatives, such as vehicle electrification, alternative fuels, and green fleet practices.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
Proven experience in fleet management, preferably within the automotive industry or transportation sector, with a focus on electric vehicles or sustainable technology.
Strong knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance practices, regulatory compliance, and safety standards.
Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and fleet management software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Expected Salary Range: $90,000- 135,000 per annum.
Additional Compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
Benefits : Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
