Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manager of Process Mapping to lead the design, documentation, and improvement of our operational processes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing workflows across various departments.

This role may require commuting and, if applicable, relocating, to the Los Angeles metropolitan area to work on-site with our Executive Team at our Global Headquarters in Manhattan Beach, California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Mapping and Documentation : Lead the analysis, design, and documentation of existing and new processes within different departments of the company, focusing on electric vehicle production, supply chain, sales, or other operational areas.

  • Process Improvement Initiatives : Identify opportunities for streamlining processes, eliminating bottlenecks, and improving efficiency. Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to drive process optimization.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to understand process requirements, gather input, and facilitate cross-functional process mapping workshops or meetings to ensure comprehensive process documentation.

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) : Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures and process manuals. Ensure that procedures are clear, concise, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

  • Data Analysis and Metrics : Utilize data analysis tools to measure and evaluate process performance metrics, such as cycle times, throughput, quality, and resource utilization. Use findings to make data-driven recommendations for process improvements.

  • Change Management : Lead change initiatives and guide teams through process changes. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure successful implementation of new processes.

  • Technology and Automation : Identify opportunities for technology adoption and process automation to improve operational efficiency. Collaborate with IT and relevant stakeholders to implement technological solutions that enhance processes.

  • Team Leadership and Development : Lead and mentor a team of process mapping specialists. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within the team.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.

  • 7-8+ years' experience in process mapping, process improvement, or business process reengineering roles, preferably within the automotive industry or manufacturing sector.

  • Expertise in process analysis techniques, process mapping tools (such as BPMN, Visio), and familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable process improvements.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in managing change and guiding teams through process transformations.

    $87,000 to $145,000 per year.

    Additional Compensation

    Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.


    Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

    The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
