About the Role – You will:
Maintains and upholds to high safety standards.
Support the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team in building complex
mechanical and electrical assemblies
Be the controls and test configuration expert on assigned contracts
Install, program, and repair automation controls
Implement and maintain tests that ensure quality and functionality of
battery packs
Prepare and deliver build documentation to the production floor under
strict deadlines
Troubleshoot battery production equipment when necessary
Focus on continuous improvement implementation in your area of
responsibility
Drive and implement continuous improvement ideas.
Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of controls, testing technology, and
practices
Train production operators when needed
Other duties as assigned by management

This position will be part of the Greer-based Battery Manufacturing
Engineering Team
You will report to the Controls Engineering Manager and collaborate
with other Manufacturing Engineering team members.

Your Experience Includes:
Associates Degree in a Robotics, Controls or Testing field
3+ years of experience within the manufacturing or industrial environment
Fanuc Robotics Programming
Proficient in PLC programming using RSLogix 5000
Proficient in testing and data acquisition (LabView experience is a
plus)
Ignition MES (experience is a plus)
HMI Configuration
Proficient with MS Office applications
Experience with manufacturing and/or testing EVs is a plus
Knowledge of electrical schematic and prints with experience in AutoCAD
Physical Demands:
May work various shifts if needed; may be requested to travel to different locations for training and acceptance testing.
Able to lift 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.
Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.
Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.
Environmental Demands:
Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.
Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.
Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
Travel: 0 - 10%
