Position Overview
This position will provide comprehensive technical support to Proterra's
Battery Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and other site leadership team
members. You will be responsible for providing a full range of technical
solutions to client groups at the site and be in an environment where you can
have a greater impact.
About the Role – You will:
Work with Manufacturing engineering to improve processes
Perform time studies as needed
PO management for all tooling and material outside of the scope of
machine.
Update Task and work orders in Visual Factory (MES).
Validate build process for New Products.
Work with Engineering during D sample to understand variation.
Support Maintenance when needed during machine downtime.
Help manage the Maintenance Management System.
Help manage process changes on the line
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

This position will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering team that
supports Proterra's Battery Manufacturing and Engineering operations in
Greer, SC.
You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor and
collaborate with other Manufacturing Engineering team members located at
our headquarters in Burlingame, CA and manufacturing facility in
Greenville, SC.

Your Experience Includes:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technology is preferred or equivalent
relevant experience
Experience with production line launches and process controls
PLC experience is preferred
3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to perform failure investigation independently
Good analytical skills and communicate effectively with all levels
Physical Demands:
May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations.
Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.
Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.
Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.
Environmental Demands:
Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.
Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.
Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
