About the Role – You will:
Uphold high safety standards
Operate and maintain industrial equipment
Work with external vendors
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot production lines
Perform pre-defined automated testing operations
Work with manufacturing related tools
Install, program, or repair manufacturing equipment to maintain the
production line
Proactively identify bottlenecks or manufacturing roadblocks before they
occur
Step in to perform operator duties and execute production tests as needed
Troubleshoot battery production equipment
Focus on continuous improvement implementation in your area of
responsibility
Train production operators across multiple shifts
Work on the production line in the event operations has a need
Other duties as assigned by management

This position will be part of the Greer based Battery Manufacturing Team
You will report to the Sr Manager, Battery Manufacturing and collaborate
with other Engineering team members located at our headquarters in
Burlingame, CA and other manufacturing facilities in Greenville, SC.

Your Experience Includes:
Associates Degree in an Engineering, Testing, or related field or
equivalent relevant experience
3+ years of experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
A background in both electrical and mechanical applications
Experience with both high voltage and low voltage applications
Familiar with general test equipment; DMM, HiPOT, Braking Resistors, Bench
Top Power Supplies, etc.
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in testing and data acquisition (LabView experience is a
plus)
Proficient with basic computer skills
Able to independently troubleshoot or understand general computer related
hardware or software issues and escalate to an engineer as needed
Experience with manufacturing and/or testing EVs is a plus
Able to read mechanical and electrical schematics (experience with
AutoCAD is a plus)
Experience with tooling or harness and cable assembly is a plus
Physical Demands:
May work various shifts if needed; may be requested to travel to different locations for training and acceptance testing.
Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.
Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.
Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.
Environmental Demands:
Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.
Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.
Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
