Disclaimer: This position is expected to start around May/June and continue through August/September. Internships are in-person for 40 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Please consider before submitting an application.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week. Many students will be limited to part-time depending on their academic standing.

  • About the Team

    Tesla is seeking passionate mobile engineering students who thrive in a fast- paced environment and want to apply CS concepts to real world projects. Our Mobile Engineering team is responsible for Tesla's app which includes exciting features such as: smart summon, vehicle controls, keyless entry, and sentry mode.

    What You'll Do

  • Design, code, and maintain mobile user experiences.
  • Optimize code for performance, stability and maintainability.
  • Work with a cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation, and designers.
  • What You'll Bring

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Familiar with Objective-C, iOS, Android, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with React/React Native and Kotlin is preferred.
  • Excellent grasp of fundamental computer science concepts, good at solving complex technical problems.
  • Experience using common design patterns. High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance.
