ROLE SUMMARY

As a Change Technician for Rivian's new product introduction team, you will control and coordinate the operational changes of parts including disposition management and any necessary containment management.

You are responsible for executing the implementation of part changes, capturing the breakpoints and responsible for the disposal or return of obsolete material and overall inventory accuracy for parts under change control.

You will manage material flow and routings through a change cage executing with control all bill of material and part changes. This position is onsite in Irvine, CA and reports to the NPI Material Group Leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executes the implementation of engineering changes & capture breakpoints
  • Executes the disposal or return of obsolete material
  • Communication with Engineering Change Analysts, Material Handling, Supplier Quality Engineering, and Production on new incoming parts
  • Unloading of materials from delivery vehicles and the return of dunnage and empty containers.
  • Provide input and support for material replenishment methods.
  • The care and proper use of material handling equipment.
  • Understand and utilize standardized work
  • Material flows in a manner that supports a FIFO strategy.
  • The cycle counting of inventory.
  • Set priorities of issues based on impact to business
  • Maintain a safe work environment ensuring safe practices and 5S procedures are followed
  • Regular auditing of production line, plant warehouse, and offsite warehouse
  • Supports Team Members and Team Leaders.
  • Support resolving problems through a team-oriented approach.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School degree or GED preferred
  • Previous forklift experience preferred (In last 3 months)
  • Material handling experience in Automotive Industry
  • Ability to understand tasks and responsibilities
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Computer skills with user level knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties.
  • Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $27.75/hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
  • Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day.
  • Required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Ability to perform all duties in a working environment that may contain dust, high noise levels, hot and cold weather.
