What to Expect
Tesla has an outstanding opportunity available for an EHS Paramedic / Onsite
Medical First Aid provider to join the team at our GFNV Sparks, NV location.
The EHS Paramedic is expected to safely minimize losses associated with
emergency response operations, coordinate fluid care with Tesla Medical and
facilitate life safety responder management across GFNV. The Paramedic is also
responsible for prioritizing and completing tasks associated with non-
emergency response activities such as emergency prevention, disaster planning,
safety education, and on-shift training activities. This Paramedic role will
also be fully responsible for escort of all medical and/or incident response.
This position directly reports to the Supervisor for Emergency Medical
Services under Medical Operations.
What You'll Do
Medical personnel are appropriately dressed, adequately trained, and
properly briefed to ensure the rapid, efficient, and effective mitigation
of incidents at GFNV.
Works directly with Tesla Medical oversight to align on response/medical
standards of care.
After-action verification and compliance assurance.
Follow and maintains Emergency Action and Response Plan procedures.
Follow, maintain and be proficient in following the Standard Operating
Procedures outlined by Medical Oversight.
Assist in emergency response drills and site wide evacuation plans with
SME experts to ensure site wide safety implementation.
Participate and occasionally lead after-action-reviews with security, ops,
& fire teams as needed.
Assist supervisor with resources/supply for all emergency response needs.
Assist supervisor in drills, tabletop exercises, learning events, and
after-action reviews following actual emergency events.
Support supervisor in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance
emergency preparedness, awareness, and response onsite.
Support/assist supervisor in delivering and facilitating emergency
response training for leaders. Production Supervisor education & training
for incidents.
Attend training sessions (and host) as required by Tesla, read, and
understand assigned materials related to emergency medical care, and
providing care in On-Site Medical.
Performs general inspection, testing, and maintenance on life safety and
emergency response equipment. Cleaning, maintaining, and supplying
equipment for emergency events.
Accurately maintain and complete all required documentation for GFNV
sites.
Assist with new hire orientation for new team members joining.
Follow and relay instructions and information quickly and accurately.
Other duties as assigned by EMS Supervisor.
What You'll Bring
Current NREMT Paramedic Certification
Current AHA Basic Life Support
Current AHA ACLS
Current AHA PALS
Current ITLS or PHTLS
ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800
Nevada State Paramedic License (Highly desired)
CEVO or EVOC (Highly Desired)
Must be at least 18 years old and have High School diploma or GED
equivalent.
5+ years' experience as first responder either as an EMT or Paramedic
(911 experience).
Ability to work past scheduled end-of-shift with little or no notice.
Ability to lift or carry 200 lbs. or more with assistance.
Ability to tolerate wearing multiple different types of PPE for extended
periods of time.
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively in both written
and verbal form.
Ability to size-up complex emergency situations and employ appropriate
medical response strategies and tactics to minimize losses.
Ability to act in accordance with Tesla guidelines, as well as state and
federal laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and statutes.
Ability to utilize emergency medical equipment in a proficient manner,
communicate concisely, clearly, and effectively in both written and verbal
form.
Ability to act in accordance with Tesla requirements as well as State and
Federal laws, regulations, operational procedures, policies, and statutes.
Incident Command System knowledge and experience is required.
Must understand principles of mechanics, emergency response, and
fundamental math
