What to Expect

Role Responsible for supporting the payroll team, analyzing and resolving inquiries for approximately 50,000 employees within US, Canada and Mexico. Performs duties that require an understanding of company payroll policies and procedures with a strong level of customer service. This role will be based in Fremont, CA.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities · Provides knowledgeable support to employees and Payroll team on all payroll related questions · Provide backup processing and reporting support to the Payroll team · Backup new hire setup tasks · Answer in person inquiries at the Answer Bar in a face-to-face environment · Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems in a timely manner · Provide professional responses to Ticketing system, telephone calls, email and personnel requests for system and payroll inquiries · Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution · Process, review, and distribute key payroll reports · Assist with incoming US mail for resolution or distribution · Assist with time and attendance entries as needed · Support system access issues, password resets and general inquiries with payroll systems · Conduct research and analysis to assist the department manager with special projects. Provide BI reporting support · Support data gathering and analysis for KPI and metrics reporting · Administration functions include filing, running reports, effective record keeping and communication. · Assist in special projects including, but not limited to government census completion, audit requests, labor statistics reporting, unclaimed property, and validation of earnings for compensation projects · Maintain close relationships with HR and HRBP assisting them with payroll inquiries. · Interpret payroll policies and procedures to company employees of all levels. · Establish and maintain corporative working relationships. · Assist with new user training as well as creating and maintaining standard operation procedures · Upload personnel documents to the Ulti application · Perform employment verification services and support third party vendor · Create process efficiencies

What You'll Bring

Requirements · CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred · Minimum 3 year's recent hands-on US multi states payroll experience required - Canada/Mexico a plus. · Knowledge of Kronos, UKG Pro, Professional HR Systems strongly preferred · Excel experience critical · Exposure to a high volume, and multi-task work environment required · Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills required. · Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, ability to detect inconsistencies in data, and ability to work with minimal supervision. · Some experience with audit procedures is preferred. · Able to follow company policies and procedures under global multi-state payroll environment. · Follow oral and written directions. · Deal tactfully and courteously with all level employees when explaining the functions and policies in the Payroll Department. · Maintain confidential information when required by legal or ethical standards and professionalism to ensure privacy of employee records. · Establish and maintain corporative working relationships.
