What to Expect
The Role:
The PC Training Coordinator is part of a larger Training team supporting and
influencing the Tesla culture at the Gigafactory. A successful Training
Coordinator will be approachable, outgoing, and exudes the Tesla mission in
all facets. Our ideal Training Coordinator embodies the Tesla culture and the
individualistic approach to training a diverse group of talented individuals
with the subject matter expertise on all PC process and PIV equipment to train
effectively.
What You'll Do
Conduct PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) training and maintain accurate
records of Certifications and Policies as they apply to training
requirements and OSHA standards.
Conduct group and individual Training (New hire Onboarding, SWI Training,
JIRA Role out, etc.)
Work with Production Control Supervisors and Leads to coordinate schedules
with their groups and conduct area process audits to ensure that the
training requirements are being followed and allow for a flexible, well
trained, efficient work team.
In-depth knowledge of FX/MFS (Material Flow System) PC transactions in
accordance with operation policies to allow for accurate training and
process efficiencies.
Create and maintain the latest revisions of Standard Work Instructions
(SWI) and provide area cross-training to allow for a flexible, efficient
work team.
Monitor trends of Process Audit failures and develop a plan for corrective
action with PC Training Coordinators, Leadership and PC Leads &
Supervisors.
Use multiple systems to track, assign, coordinate and create training
reports, and ensure that training records are ISO 9001 compliant.
Promote continuous improvement of all training programs across PC.
Learn new process skills, keeping up to date with the latest revisions of
process operations.
Monitor and update JIRA & SharePoint for training team actions, projects,
and deployments as progress is made.
Other projects and initiatives as business needs dictate.
What You'll Bring
3 + years Warehouse experience with 1-2 years in a training role preferred
Experience and training of PIV equipment (forklift, reach truck, etc.)
strongly preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including solid
interpersonal skills.
Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
Demonstrates personal leadership and accountability.
Displays empathy, patience & an interest in adult learning
Strong presentation skills with the ability to facilitate training
classes.
