Location: Port of Southampton, UK

Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle diagnostics, first-time-right repairs, and manual and airborne software updates at the port of Southampton.
  • Interact with port processors to align on required services, explain planned and completed service activities, obtain work agreements, perform and document walk-around and safety inspections, provide information on required maintenance, etc.
  • Avoid repeat repairs and repurchases by following proper service procedures
  • Promptly identify and report complex technical problems in the field.
  • Undertake the necessary training to maintain competence as a service technician.
  • From time to time, support other ports in Europe and close by logistics third-party vendors.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies (i.e. battery, key fobs, etc). Re-order when necessary
  • Ensure all vehicles meet requirements prior to loading onto a vessel
  • Observe and support truck, rail, vessel operations.
  • Basic qualifications/knowledge/experience
  • Five or more years in an EV service position with hands-on experience using diagnostic tools and network protocols, e.g. ECU troubleshooting on CAN/LIN/i/Body Bus, LVDS, etc.
  • Local training and certifications required to perform the job.
  • Experience in HV work, qualification for Live HV systems is a plus.
  • A driving licence is a must
  • Knowledge about ports and vehicle logistics is a plus
  • Fluency in English in speaking and writing
