What to Expect

As a Product Manager for Tesla's Energy Design Tools, you will have the opportunity to support the creation of engineering designs and deliverable for solar energy generation and storage systems. This role includes evaluating requirements, creating and guiding a product roadmap, and managing major systems changes from design through post-implementation support. Key factors for success will be demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional team to execute a common goal, as well as an ability to communicate effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Understand systems flow for energy design product suite and its intersection with business processes
  • Create and maintain product roadmap for current and future state design tools
  • Effectively communicate and evangelize product vision, particularly with respect to business goals
  • Develop and maintain tools and services supporting creation of design deliverable for internal and external end users
  • Maintain & improve integrations between design tools and dependent systems
  • Manage inclusion of new product launches from hardware/design teams into the digital energy system design ecosystem
  • Facilitate transition to a more scalable architecture to support consolidated energy system products
  • Track success metrics and use learnings to improve the product space

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 product suite
  • Proficiency with SQL preferred
