  • Role Overview

    We are looking for a Senior Buyer – Indirect Procurement join the European headquarters in the center of Munich. You will be aligned with our global procurement team and work directly with the local operational team. The Senior Buyer – Indirect Procurement in Europe is responsible for sourcing goods and services, to support corporate and local business needs. Responsible for managing the RFQ process to ensure competitive and ethical bidding. This role has the responsibility to lead negotiations and quote reviews to ensure the buyer receives goods and services at the best possible price when aspects such as quality, quantity, time, and location are compared.

    Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and execute procurement strategies.

  • Prepare negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.

  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.

  • Manage ordering of necessary and approved goods and services.

  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.

  • Lead procurement and negotiations for construction, general contracting, and facilities support.

  • Examine and test existing contracts.

  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with key persons (stakeholders) to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.

  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.

  • Creation of vendor base/master across different zones.

  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer- supplier power.

  • Partner with stakeholder to ensure clear requirements and documentation.

  • Assess, manage, and mitigate purchase risks and assist in procurement process design.

  • Seek and partner with dependable vendors and suppliers to ensure regular monitoring of project budget.

  • Regularly contact suppliers to renegotiate prices.

  • Facilitate resolution of disputes and claims with suppliers.

  • Manage RFQ process for quoting new business needs to qualified suppliers.

  • Quotation analysis and issuance of purchase orders.

  • Determine the quantity and timing of deliveries.

  • Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • 8 to 12 years of experience required.

  • Education (Masters is preferred - MBA or PGDM) and familiarity with sourcing and vendor management courses.

  • Professional certifications preferred – CPM, CPSM, APICS CSCP.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Excellent Excel and PPT skills.

  • Procurement System – SAP experience and proficiency.

  • Ability to network with relevant stakeholders and build strong relationships.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Analytical, meticulous, and keen eye for detail and excellent critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to multitask and ensure quality of deliverables is consistent.

  • Comfortable in a challenging environment and ability to effectively interface with cross functional teams and management.

  • Ability to work independently and actively manage dynamic corporate and business needs.

  • Multinational and fast-paced work experience is required.

  • Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.
