Role Summary:

Lead RFI/ RFQ/ RFP and strategic sourcing process and own the contractual process with suppliers by negotiating NDA's, General Terms & Conditions and Statements of Work.

Qualifications:

  • Develop sourcing strategies by analyzing the supply base, market conditions, and future technologies
  • Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities and develop commodity strategies and roadmaps for Rivian Stakeholders
  • Perform detailed analysis of quotations based on cost breakdowns from supplier submissions
  • Establish strong supplier relationships and manage performance through the creation of key performance metrics
  • Manage departmental budgets in collaboration with Rivian Finance team to ensure contracts are on target
  • Analyze current spend data in Indirect spend commodities and find opportunities for cost reductions and supplier consolidation
  • Work closely alongside Stakeholders to meet their technical requirements, execute against set milestones and track sourcing progress
  • Drive and implement continuous cost improvements through negotiations to achieve operational cost targets
  • Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of relevant IT related Purchasing Experience (hardware, software, etc)
  • 5+ years experience with ERP systems and purchase order processing – Coupa preferred
  • 7+ years experience performing/cost analysis in a procurement, purchasing environment
  • 7+ years MS Office
  • Preferred Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other related fields
  • Able to work independently with little instruction and can adapt to change
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to details and deadlines
  • Able to work well with others in a team environment
  • Familiarity with Tableau is a plus
  • Effective communication skills and customer service approach
  • Action-oriented and solution-driven and able to work in a fast pace environment
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented
  • Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $107,000-$126,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
