Role overview:
Fisker is in search of a Senior Engineer in Test to be part of a unique and fast-paced team developing cutting-edge products. You will have a significant role in defining, developing, and ensuring the quality of the products released. The perfect candidate will be energized by the opportunity to pioneer new solutions and world-class experiences and to work across multiple areas of the product.
The Senior Engineer in Test is responsible for testing the Mobile interface and other aspects of the vehicle features to ensure that the systems are functioning per requirements. The Engineer will be responsible for testing various vehicle programs where these features are present.
Responsibilities
Define testing strategy for connected car products that span web, mobile, cloud and in-car software
Ensure that test requirements are included in the documentation and specifications for a feature or product.
Write design verification test cases using standard templates and test methodologies
Work within a team to coordinate validation efforts for the feature
Perform integration hardware level testing
Develop test methods and models to be able to test critical components within the system
Automate test scripts and work with HIL setups to execute test procedures in a closed-loop model environment
Capture and analyze data to troubleshoot issues
Document the identified issues
Generate and release testing reports
Develop and lead test methods in this growing area
Knowledge of hardware systems, ECUs and HIL to execute testing procedures
Familiar with various types of Load Balancers and able to test various scenarios for possible failures
Knowledge of Linux/Unix
Create & amend test cases to perform software validation across ECUs
Drive a validation of high-quality, high-performance, and product-ready software
Own and Validate the System feature level end-to-end testing on vehicle
Align and support SQA processes and activities within functional areas such as System, Hardware and Safety
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant technical work experience
Experience in delivering high-quality software related to web, mobile, cloud and/or embedded systems
Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
Experience in automated testing frameworks with a combination of manual testing
Experience in testing Hardware
Experience in working with testing of microservices in a Cloud-based environment
Experience in working in a Linux/Unix and Git-based environment is a must to have
Experience in test planning, strategy, and execution
Experience designing and planning test conditions, scripts and data sets to ensure adequate coverage.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with Agile and Scrum processes
Strong organizational skills
Excellent understanding of SW engineering and best practices related to source code control, unit testing, CI/CD and continuous integration
Passion for continuous improvement of SW quality and learning of best practices
Expected Salary Range: $83,160 - $151,660 a year.
Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
Benefits : Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
