We're in search of a Senior UX Designer to become a key member of our expanding creative team. In this role, you'll take the lead on designing captivating features and user experiences across our native apps, in-car display interfaces, and other signature Fisker products. Your expertise will guide the creation of user-focused designs across all digital touchpoints, ensuring a harmonious and engaging user experience. Working in close collaboration with internal departments like design, engineering, product, and marketing, you'll also engage directly with Fisker customers to gain valuable insights and rigorously test your designs. You are intrinsically motivated, continuously seeking to expand your skill set and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Innovative Thought Leadership: Lead the charge on forward-thinking approaches to the future of connected vehicles.

  • Problem-Solving: Devise simple, elegant solutions to complex UX challenges.

  • Creative Ideation: Adhere to and evolve our design process for feature development and user experience enhancements.

  • Design Systems Development: Conceptualize and create robust design systems that encompass user interfaces, connected data, and interaction models compatible across various platforms.

  • Collaboration and Presentation: Share and advocate for your design ideas through mood boards, storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, and high- fidelity designs to internal stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work seamlessly with multiple disciplines to bring designs to life in our production vehicles.

  • Industry Awareness: Keep abreast of the latest trends in automotive design, consumer electronics, and other relevant design fields.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design or Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of professional experience in UX Design.

  • A strong, demonstrable design process with experience in system and product feature design.

  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite, or other industry-standard design tools.

  • Multi-platform design experience (desktop, mobile, web, and native applications). Automotive UX (Android) and connected device app design is a plus.

  • Passion for and understanding of current trends and technologies in automotive HMI design.

  • Experience in progressing from low-fidelity to high-fidelity designs, substantiated by functional prototypes.

  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours.

  • A compelling portfolio showcasing a range of UX/UI design projects.

  • Expected Salary Range : $ $74,900.00 -$160,000.00 a year.

    Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Frisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

    Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

    The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above
