General Role Overview:
The Specialist, Transportation Operations will be responsible for managing the North American transportation of vehicles via open and enclosed haulaway truck carriers from North American ports to destinations throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. This position requires interfacing with the Global Logistics Operations team, Planning Team, and Sales and Marketing as well as several external stakeholders and reports to Senior Manager of Global Port Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage multiple haulaway carriers as primary point of contact to ensure timely vehicle delivery upon arrival at ports in North America
Decision maker on $8 million in transportation spend
Candidate will be responsible for:
Forecasting required capacity for multiple predetermined origins and destinations.
Maintaining a successful relationship with the carrier base to ensure Fisker delivery requirements are met.
Plan and manage the day-to-day operations based on vessel arrivals and deadlines for delivery to downstream Fisker locations.
Monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all carriers to ensure compliance with Fisker transportation standards.
Identify and negotiate with new carriers for contract or back-up work.
Identify poor performing carriers/lanes and develop improvement action plans.
Provide all support function activity to key stakeholders within the Fisker organization.
5 Years of Experience
Education – Bachelor's Degree
Experience with the haulaway industry strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies:
Knowledge of transporting finished vehicles by truck and ocean modes
Familiarity with the automotive industry
Experience with finished vehicle logistics preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a proactive mindset
Teamwork and collaboration

Working conditions would mainly be a home remote office with potential visits to field locations

Travel to port or truck terminals or other industrial sites

Expected Salary Range: $37,100 - $103,350 a year.
Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
