Overview

Within this role you will be responsible for engineering product development and delivery for multiple display used in our vehicles. You will have complete responsibility for delivering the display systems in line with program timing and forecasted budgets. The ideal candidate needs to be extremely technically oriented, understand how to ‘get things done' while being able to work autonomously. This role will report directly to the Director of Interior Systems and the delivery of the displays within our vehicles will be your responsibilities. Within the Interior Systems team we have mechanical engineer who help with the integration, we our seeking an engineer with displays ownership experience in a DRE capacity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Design and Release activates for Displays/Screens.
  • Design and develop automotive displays for OEM applications.
  • Create 3D model from using Catia V6 and CAD BOM configuration management.
  • Choose best inline connector strategy depending on the harness location.
  • Analyze Product definition letter to set how many part numbers are needed.
  • Create 2D wire harness print.
  • Update BOM for every build stage and assure the correct part number will be used.
  • Work with purchasing department on creating RFQ.
  • Create purchase requests and eventually they will become purchase orders.
  • Set PDT meetings with supplier and build great communication channel to track the status.
  • Define validation plan for every part and provide update/tracking during APQP and PPAP process.
  • Support each manufacturing phase in assembly plant and set rework plan as needed.
  • Develop DFMEA and review PFMEA with supplier.
  • Meet all MRDs with quality parts.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years Automotive related screens/displays experience at either OEM or Tier-1 supplier level.
  • Knowledge of checking: Device Transmittal, System Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, and harnesses for accuracy.
  • Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software applications.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA and DVP&R.
