Role Overview

The Sr. Engineer (System testing) is responsible for providing support for the system hardware integration and debug the issues. Provide support in systems engineering and analysis for complex systems development. Contribute to team activities during product life cycle development through validation and issue reporting. Collaborate with the team and provide solutions for the test system and test cases development. Research best practices towards hardware and software tools for the system integration and validation.

Responsibilities

  • Good understanding of developing test cases and procedures in accordance with system requirements

  • Execution of Infotainment test cases manually at Integration/System Level (In-Vehicle) environment

  • Validation Features as car radio, GPS, Audio, Video and Connectivity using Cell phone

  • Work with the System team to analyze the requirements.

  • Support for developing of test environment for testing System and Sub- system/Component

  • Design and build wiring harnesses to support electrical testing of components and systems

  • Work cross functionally with various teams to understand Software release timing

  • Proactively work with the team to identify issues and report in a timely manner

  • Execute the test cases and report bugs using appropriate tools

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or its foreign equivalent

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Infotainment Validation (Component/In- Vehicle level)

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent Written and oral communication skills

  • Technical Qualifications

  • Experience in using Vector tools (CANoe) and scripting in CAPL and Python

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and ASPICE process

  • Good understanding of communication protocol CAN, CAN FD, LIN, UART, Ethernet

  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 and ISO 14229

  • Experience with electronic lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, programmable power supplies

  • Knowledge of Bluetooth and OTA protocols

  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting activities (from Hardware and Software point of view)

  • Experience in dynamic environment to bring the value addition

  • Expected Salary Range: $74,900 - $208,650 a year.

    Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

    The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
