Completes a variety of general accounting support tasks in the accounting department. Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions. Completes period end closing responsibilities under tight deadlines.
SEC Reporting Experience Required
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES ● A complete comprehensive understanding of accounting (GAAP), relationships, practices and procedures ● Reconciles bank and credit card statements to ERP ● Assists monthly with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts ● Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions with supporting documentation ● Provide backup for Cashflow 360 maintenance and payment processing ● Maintains historical records by filing documents both electronically and manually ● Is directly responsible for backing up Accounting Clerk 1 when needed ● Prepare journal entries and reports as needed ● Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax reports as needed ● Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed, within tight deadlines ● Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS ● Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting ● Valid Driver's License ● Familiarity with general accounting principles ● Ability to complete assigned period end closing responsibilities on time ● Tracking Budget Expenses ● Attention to Detail ● Thoroughness ● Organization and time management ● Analyzing Information ● Accounting ● Vendor Relationships ● PC Proficiency ● Data Entry Skills ● General Math Skills
