Role Summary

You'll lead the customer data strategy for the Customer Analytics & Insights team supporting the Customer Sales & Experience organization. You'll work with cross-functional teams to assess the current data eco-system, define the data strategy as it pertains to customer data, set the data product roadmap for a customer-first view of first- and second-party data, lead engineering teams to integrate data sources across the customer eco-system to provide a holistic view of customer behavior. Key partners to collaborate with include Sales & Customer Experience, Data Science, Data Engineering, Customer Analytics, Growth Marketing, and Digital Product Teams

Working with cross functional partners you'll lead the requirements and adoption of a robust, reliable, data platform that empowers and informs customer acquisition and retention strategy. You will be responsible for defining and delivering on our current and future data and analytics strategies and requirements that allow us to scale, as well as proactively identifying new and innovative ways to drive value and impact for our customers through Data Science and Analytics. The impact of this role will optimize strategic business initiatives to drive iterative and incremental business impact.


  • You will set the data strategy, and data product roadmap, to enable analytics & data science solutions that facilitate customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value
  • You have strong understanding of data & tech stack components, how to manage these effectively, and how to evolve work throughout the different layers of the stack from foundational data ingestion to customer modeling
  • You will translate business strategy to data needs, into data strategy, and lead engineering teams to implement data structure vision to enable long term view of customer behavior across the entire lifecycle of customer acquisition from first touch with the brand to life-time value
  • Your strong understanding of the data environment will help connect the dots across the customer journey. With this, you will define architectural requirements for Data Engineering team on ingestion and structure to facilitate a holistic view of customer touchpoints with the brand across the customer journey
  • You will collaborate with data engineering teams on big data exploration, data cleansing, pursue full-stack data quality, data validation, and see data anomalies to resolution.
  • You will have a strong technical knowledge of data science, product & data analytics, data engineering, and you will set a vision that fosters cross- functional collaboration.
  • You're an active and influential voice and a collaborative partner that will advise cross-functional teams by creating a vision for what data science and analytics can unlock in the present and in the future
  • Beyond a strong analytical foundation, you will also possess strong business vernacular, business judgment, a collaborative spirit, curiosity & openness, and a talent for clear and concise communication.
  • The ability to story-tell using data and advise executive leadership that will bridge a wide range of stakeholders across organizational pillars of the business.
  • You have experience collaborating with and mentoring Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data engineers, Data Product teams at all levels.
  • Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in data engineering & product analytics
  • A four-year college degree, Masters, or advanced degree a plus
  • Significant experience with Data Validation, Data Cleansing, Data Verification and identifying data anomalies using Big Data technologies and SQL.
  • Extensive experience in developing end to end ETL pipelines
  • Strong level of knowledge of big data and tech stack components
  • Experience documenting business requirements and translating them into technical system requirements
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Experience communicating with team members and stakeholders at a variety of technical levels
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and deadline-driven production environment
  • Salary Range: $150,000-$173,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law).
