General Role Overview:

Fisker Inc is looking for an experienced supervisor responsible for directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor scheduling, supervision, and proper utilization of space, equipment, and manpower. Key responsibilities include customer service & satisfaction, staffing, employee development & morale, warehouse operation and performance objective achievement, maintenance of the facility and equipment, implementation of safety, security, housekeeping, and sanitation programs, budgeting. The Supervisor must be able to make decisions on workload and the timely completion of the daily operations of the parts storage facility.

The position will conduct the cycle inventory process and provide support to the service center, VPC, field staff and headquarters personnel. Assist in stock inspections, tracking shipments, investigating claims, inspecting parts, and help expedite parts to assist Fisker in earning a level of #1 in customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately receive, inspect, process, store and ship a variety of service parts and accessories meeting company standards of safety, security and efficiency. Meet or exceed all minimum Productivity & Quality objectives while always displaying professional conduct.

  • Receiving - Relocate merchandise to staging and/or storage areas as directed. Inspect freight for accuracy and/or damage. Verify receiving tickets against packaging part numbers to ensure accuracy and report damages, shortage, discrepancies or other out of line conditions. Relocate merchandise to appropriate storage area. Develop and implement an effective receiving operation that minimizes cost and ensures receiving work is processed accurately and promptly. Recommend methods of improving safety, increasing efficiency and/or reducing costs.

  • Pick/Pack/Ship - Prepare customer/service center/VPC orders for shipment. Transport orders to shipping docks or other areas as directed. Assure that all orders are picked and shipped in a timely fashion within prescribed cost levels.

  • Inventory/Cycle Count - Assist in monitoring and conducting the cycle count process to ensure the quality and accuracy of the inventory in meeting all cycle count objectives. Assist in the investigation and resolution of any inventory discrepancies.

  • Warehouse/Equipment - Maintain neat, clean, orderly, safe and secure work and storage areas. Maintain and charge forklift, stock chaser and batteries as needed. On a daily basis, perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, which includes, but is not limited to, checking fluid levels, proper tire pressure and cleanliness. Perform general housekeeping in assigned areas as assigned.

  • Customer Assistance - Provide telephone support to customers with parts order status, damage and shortage claim investigation, stock inspections, and shipment tracking.

  • Logistics - Control and direct all transportation into and out of the warehouse to meet company standards of customer service, cost, safety, and security.

  • Reporting - Ensure the accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution, and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding warehouse operations.

  • Budgeting - Participate in the preparation of budgets, revenue projections, and account analyses. Ensure the parts distribution operates within all budget guidelines.

  • Assist in the evaluation and review of packaging, Recommending packaging improvements when necessary.

  • Help the parts technical specialist in verifying the parts stocked.

  • Continually maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers. Operates the facility in a manner that will ensure that the highest possible levels of service parts distributions are achieved.

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional-level knowledge and experience of principles and practices in parts distribution, inventory.

  • An analytical mind with strong math skills to accurately track distribution performance and create reports and devise ways to optimize distribution procedures.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to allow effective interaction with all levels of the organization.

  • Seven to ten years of experience working in a fast-paced automotive OEM environment with emphasis on Parts Distribution preferred.

  • Direct Warehouse/Distribution experience involving the receipt, storage and distribution of merchandise utilizing warehouse equipment. Forklift experience and Haz Mat certification preferred.

  • Knowledges, Skills, Abilities, Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to meet tight deadlines.

  • Safe and proper loading and unloading utilizing a forklift, proper physical lifting techniques and use of warehouse equipment, standard office machines and equipment, including computer terminals.

  • Advanced PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access is desired.

  • Basic skills in the operation of warehouse computer systems (WMS), strong leadership, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills are essential.

  • Able to make decisions on workload and the timely completion of all the tasks for the WMS project.

The employee must be able to: Lift, carry, push and/or pull items with a strength factor of heavy work. Sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

  • Expected Salary Range : $74,000.00 - $90.000.00 per year.

    Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

    The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
