Role Overview

Fisker's Digital Product and Edge Computing team is looking for a Technical Program Manager who will be adept at planning, tracking, and driving software development activities and software rollout to our customers. The Digital Product and Edge Computing team develops Fisker's Cloud, App SDK and OTA software update infrastructure.

The applicant must have a bias to action, delivering results, and be able to communicate effectively with cross-collaborative teams. The role requires exceptional organizational skills and consistent communication while building strong working relationships.

This TPM will report to the Director of Technical Program Management under the Engineering Department and will focus on the delivery of a robust Software update strategy via OTA and other means.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Digital Product and Edge Computing team to successfully drive development of solutions and infrastructure for vehicle software updates via OTA and Cloud

  • Work closely with software engineers to plan, track, & drive development & testing activities

  • Manage Jira projects to report status and escalate any high-risk issues

  • Collaborate internally and externally to ensure software deliverables are on time

  • Track and monitor development to ensure timely execution for launch

  • Continuously support team and help identify and/or fill in any necessary gaps

  • Assist the TPM and Engineering org in continuously improving reporting and engineering methodologies

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other Engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 5-8 years professional experience in software engineering, computer science, or another related field.

  • Solid understanding of software development, OTA technologies, and Cloud computing

  • Open minded to learning new systems and methodologies.

  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced start-up environment.

  • Proficient with Jira & Confluence, or similar tracking & documentation tools.

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to create strong working relationships within cross-functional teams.

  • Preferred Skills

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other Engineering discipline

  • Software development and OTA/Cloud experience preferred

  • Automotive OEM/Tier-1/Tier-2 experience is a plus

  • Familiar with Agile and Waterfall processes

  • Experience creating and implementing new processes

  • Expected Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000 per annum.

    Additional Compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

    The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
