What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated TPM to develop and implement aspects of
quality systems and internal audit program. This position will involve
creating business process design, implementation and project management to
achieve quantifiable improvements to the Tesla quality systems.
What You'll Do
Developing “the plan” with regards to developing and implementing aspects
of quality systems, including but not limited to quality management
system, internal audits, and factory business processes
Managing and coordinating Internal Audit Program by planning and
coordinating audits and ensuring resolution of audit findings
Driving accountability regarding project milestones, key initiatives, and
project success criteria for Quality Management System integration
Coordinating with variety of cross-functional stakeholders: production
operations, engineering functions, material & production planning units,
factory software teams etc.
Distilling many inputs into few: delivering world-class decision support
for senior leaders and executives
Translate business process needs into software design requirements.
Collaborate closely with the software development team to define
functional and timeline requirements of software tools
Prioritize multiple projects across all departments and systems and
provide status updates to stakeholders
Proactively identify improvement opportunities (potential gaps between
process and system) across all business functions, developing tools that
allow for visibility into process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
Perform training to various functions on new roll outs and functionality
changes;
Collaborate with other sites/teams to drive towards common solutions which
will become Tesla's "best practices".
Identify gaps in quality system specific to the Service Manufacturing
What You'll Bring
Track record of excellence in current and prior roles, demonstrable with
metrics or KPIs
Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation,
summarization, etc.
Exemplary people, organizational, project management, and escalation
skills
Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight
deadlines
Preferred qualifications: BS in STEM or relevant field
Minimum of 6+ year of experience in a quality or quality system role
Experience managing complex projects
Knowledge of quality system industry standards including ISO 9001, IATF
16949 and AIAG.
Have high attention to details.
Be a team player and have the ability to collaborate well across diverse
functional groups
Strong verbal and written communication skills to manage and communicate
the health and integrity of the data and systems.
