General Role Overview:
The Mobile Service Technicians are Fisker brand ambassadors in the field and are responsible for providing the best-in-class service of our electric vehicles. This position requires an experienced service professional with a solid background and hands-on experience in EV maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
The successful candidate will have technical expertise, preferred ASE L3 certification (Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist), and solid understanding of EV vehicle repair. A passion for and a deep understanding of the latest EV technologies with proven experience delivering advanced technical expertise with another OEM. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech and customer obsessed environment with a diverse set of stakeholders in multiple geographic locations and adaptability to change is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform Vehicle Diagnostics, Fix Right the First Time Repairs, Manual & Over-The-Air Software Updates at a customer's site, facilitating the service advisor and technician roles in a new differentiated, digital forward system.
Deliver Mobile Service operations ensuring proper remote diagnostics and required parts are procured prior to customer visits.
Interact with the customers to confirm service visits, explain planned and completed service activities with associated charges, obtain work agreement, perform & document walk-around, safety inspection & inform required maintenance.
Avoid repeat repairs and buyback cases by following correct service procedures to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Promptly identify and report complex technical issues in the field to HQ.
Successfully complete required trainings to maintain Mobile Service Technician qualification.
According to business needs, to support your local service center as well as our 3rd party service providers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Five or more years in an EV service role with hands-on working experience using diagnostic tools and network protocols, e.g., ECU troubleshooting on CAN/LIN/i/Body Bus, LVDS, etc.
Local education and certifications needed to perform the work.
HV working experience, Live HV System qualification is a plus.
Proven customer interface experience, time spent as an automotive service advisor a plus.
Fluent spoken and written English and Norwegian. Additional language is a plus.
Outstanding technical problem-solving ability with a customer facing experience is preferred.
In-depth service core process and customer handling operation expertise, brand standards and a solid repairability technical understanding

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with strong customer service orientation: This role will constantly be communicating concerns, changes, processes, and explanations across a wide spectrum of stakeholders and users.

Strong attention to detail and communication skills to work with internal and external partners at all levels within the organization and to represent Fisker in a professional manner.
Effective in handling multiple priorities, organizing workload, and meeting deadlines.
High competency in a high-pressure environment and to meet tight deadlines, and drive accountability.
Ability to work without direct supervision, an independent self-starter with a sense of urgency.
Willingness to take ownership of jobs and work independently beyond assigned position to successfully complete projects from initiation to completion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Project Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook. Additionally, Jira and Confluence.
Working Conditions:
Must be willing to travel both domestically, as well as internationally, as required.
Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as needed to meet deadlines and goals, headquarters in California.
Exposed to service workshop environment that requires lifting moderate weights, standing for long hours, wearing personal protective equipment, etc.
Expected Salary Range : $32,90.00 TO $91,650.00 a year.
Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
