Your Tasks
As part of our PV Development Team with focus on transportation applications
you contribute to the development of long lasting, safe, and innovative VaPV
(Vehicle applied Photovoltaics) products, ranging from prototype to series
solutions to transform regular vehicles to Solar Electric Vehicles. Plenty of
exciting and challenging projects await you - widely spread over the bus,
truck, and van industry.
Many varied tasks await you:
Planning, implementation and documentation of test plans and setups for PV
integration and application on vehicles at various development stages
Develop, modify and implement reliability test methods and drive the
expansion of our own testing facilities for our PV products following
industry standards from PV and automotive
Conduct reliability tests on various PV modules, integration methods and
customer prototypes and ensure reliability of use of our products
Conduct in-depth characterization of visual appearance, functionality and
performance of customized PV modules
Perform root cause and failure analysis and utilize those results to make
recommendations to development and customer projects team
Work together with the development engineers to test and deliver
innovative and reliable products to the market
Coordinate projects with institutional and testing partners
Prepare reports and present results to the team in a regular manner
Doing that, you always keep in mind the sustainable and environmental
friendly execution of the project
Our Requirements
You have a completed training as a technician or a degree in physics,
chemistry, material science or engineering, e.g. automotive, mechanical,
mechatronic engineering, renewable energies, or photovoltaics with a
strong practical background
You have at least 2 years of experience in a technical role in industry or
an industry-related institute for research, development and test methods
You have experience in testing of industrial products, materials and/or
photovoltaic systems and/or subcomponents
You have knowledge of standards, quality and reliability requirements from
the photovoltaic, automotive or other industries
It is an advantage to have experience with PV modules and in particular
polymer-based PV modules
You work in an exceptionally structured and conscientious manner, act
independently and on your own responsibility, but still prefer to
celebrate success as part of a team rather than alone
You are fluent in English - German is a plus
Sustainability is a matter of the heart for you, you like to swim in the
open sea and stand not only by your achievements, but also by your
mistakes
