OverviewCalibrate the vehicle powertrain software controls such that it meets the design requirements and accurately reflects the “voice of the customer”, ensuring the vehicle is competitive and competent in the market.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities (80s of the Position)
Ability to understand the customer's needs and champion the “voice of the customer” when conducting vehicle tests.
Interface with cross-functional teams to support powertrain performance testing, software testing, and vehicle validation.
Provide guidance on test reports and help to create and review templates for proper documentation of results and test planning.
Document issues discovered during testing, assess whether a design countermeasure is required, and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Required Experience
Work experience with vehicle level calibration processes.
Experience with in-vehicle testing of powertrain systems.
Knowledge of battery electric vehicle architecture with detailed understanding of powertrain, battery, chassis, body, and 12-volt systems and a basic understanding of vehicle level firmware including the process of automatic code generation.
Strong professional and technical competence in vehicle testing and validation methods.

Salary will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, training, skillset, location, etc. Expected salary range in CA – $104,300 - $125,100
