GreenPower Motor Company, Inc. (GreenPower) is a leading manufacturer and distributor of purpose-built, all-electric, zero-emission medium and heavy- duty vehicles serving the cargo and delivery market, shuttle and transit space and school bus sector.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Warehouse / Purchasing Manager is responsible for maintaining acceptable and accurate inventory levels. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills and a desire for enabling continuous improvement. In this role a high level of accuracy, and operational standards through performance of operational process audits with the primary goal of maintaining proper inventory levels. This position requires proficiency, high level thinking, conceptualization, implementations skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment.

Warehouse Manager

  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained
  • Manage facility warehouse employees
  • Ensures part shipments meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability upon delivery
  • Executes inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
  • Communicates with Operations Team as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
  • Ensures milestones and goals are met.
  • Performs and assists with general maintenance and cleanup of warehouse.
  • Operates forklift as needed.
  • Performs process audits associated with receiving, returns inspection, product put away, picking, packing, shipping and cycle counting
  • Perform root cause problem solving and corrective action
  • Determine and implement continual improvements in the inventory and warehouse processes
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products received.
  • Communicates inventory standards and parameters to direct supervisor, production team, project management team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Hires and trains Inventory Control staff.
  • Oversees the job assignments and activities of Inventory Control staff.
  • Provides performance evaluations that are timely and constructive to inventory team
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Purchase Manager

  • Process orders and maintains records of all transactions, purchase requests, quotes, purchase orders, and acknowledgments.
  • Analyze forecast, actual demand, schedules, and inventory and exercise judgment to influence manufacturing and buying decisions
  • Conduct and document procurement activities and negotiations to support buying decisions
  • Search, evaluate, and approve new suppliers as needed
  • Responsible for researching and identifying alternative suppliers if needed.
  • Develop strategic supplier and vendor relationships
  • Resolve potential material disruption issues and escalates needed
  • Determine the material requirement for the manufacturing production schedules, engineering, validation, and processes.
  • Review, prioritize, schedule, and expedite the delivery of material to meet target dates and prevent stock shortages
  • Resolve inquiries on unclear packing slips and invoices to ensure prompt availability of material and timely payments to vendors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements

    We are seeking an organized, diligent, and responsible inventory controller to join our growing team.

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
  • Highly organized, strongly self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate matrixed resources and drive measurable results
  • Ability to learn company specific system to track deadlines, submittals, and follow up
  • Computer skills using MS Office Suite, GSuite,
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills are required.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
