General Role Overview:
Fisker Inc is looking for an experienced web architect to support, advise and partner with employees and leaders across our growing team. This role is with the Digital Product & Engineering organization where you'll be a key member of the web engineering team working on defining and building next-generation web experiences in our consumer facing website. The products developed by the teams you work with power Fisker digital journey experiences that are present in the car, in the cloud and in user's mobile devices. We have a deep focus on the customer, are unafraid to think big, and operate with a Design Thinking and Lean Start-up mindset.
Our ideal candidate has background in delivering multiple large-scale websites with a customer-centric mindset with the ability to consistently raise the bar on using modern best practices of web engineering. You will play a large role working with the design and development teams from concept to commercialization of new web products and features. In this role, you will be shipping ground-breaking web experiences across all devices that delight customers, redefine mobility and achieve Fisker's vision of a clean future for all.
As a Web Application Architect, you will be responsible for the software that our customers interact with every day. You will create experiences that allow users to configure and control their vehicle. You will work on our website, influencing technical design across multiple multidisciplinary, agile teams. You will help nurture best practices of web application development. You will contribute the client perspective to the evolution of the system architecture.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and hands on day-to-day solutions to agile teams, preparing the design artifacts and implementation of solutions.
Analyze business direction and problems, understand long term vision and risk in developing strategic technical solutions.
Work closely with Product/Application teams in technology evaluation, selection, recommendation, and configuration
Build and lead positive relationships with product owners, architects and technical leads for individual products and applications.
Ability to drive solutions architecture design and ownership and articulate architecture solution options to the product owners and architecture leadership.
Deep knowledge of APIs, UIs, infrastructure, cloud architecture, data architecture, security, and new technologies
Proven knowledge of the agile development process and DevOps practices
Engagement with Project Teams to deliver AIPs, drive issue resolution, wellness plans, and product roadmaps.
The outstanding ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.
Collaborate with peer architects finding opportunities to refactor business processes, improve customer experience or perform capability rationalization.
Contribute to the development of digital architecture blueprint by monitoring industry and technology trends and directions.
Ensure technology decisions align with architecture standards and strategies.
Evaluate and recommend technology and frameworks for flexibility, long- term viability, and time to market.
Lead technical documentation efforts across teams
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Architecture or as a Technical Lead or equivalent experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
You have deep experience programming in two or more of: JavaScript, React, Node.js, and full stack development.
Deep expertise in web front-end architecture & development, with hands on experience building large scale, highly available, low latency websites that service millions of customers.
End-to-end architecture experience with focus on customer experience, ease of use, reusable core & common components development, leverage proven architecture pattens, standards, accessibility guidelines, security, A/B testing, personalization, web analytics and measurements.
Strong software development skills and experience using Node.js/Java / Golang and web application technologies.
Strong Expertise in Client-Side technologies including JavaScript, CSS3, Angular, React Experience building APIs , GraphQL, RESTful, and/or web sockets clients.
Outstanding experience or certification in Cloud Computing, with AWS preferred.
Experience in internet security: OAuth, Open ID connect and knowledge of standard methodologies.
Experience in performance optimization and debugging
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Disclaimer Statement:
Expected Salary Range : $92,260.00 -$ $190,000.00 a year.
Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Frisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above
