What to Expect
Repair or assemble pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to equipment specifications.
What You'll Do
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products
Ability to design and build basic and/or complex structures, supports or framework in the execution of daily tasks.
Ability to Weld using ARC, MIG processes.
Ability to perform oxy/acetylene torch, plasma arc cutting processes
Utilize handheld tools such as a hand held screw gun, drill gun, and grinders
Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tool
Maintain inventory of manufacturing product and welding consumables
Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
Identify equipment defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management staff
Maintain a clean and safe work area
What You'll Bring
1-3 years MIG welding experience
1-3 years' experience operating in a similar capacity within a manufacturing or relatable facility
Basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills preferred
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch and hearing
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
Specific technical or vocational training or certification preferred
Work in a team environment and respect all teammates Physical demands and abilities
Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
Regularly perform repetitive tasks
Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
Ability to operate a fork-lift and an overhead crane
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal.
